Sometimes a barn lingers in the imagination for a long time before the property owner finally decides to raise the frame. But once we get the green light to order lumber, the dream can become reality very quickly.

The timber frame for the barn and shop shown here was raised in high summer. By fall the frame was fully enclosed, the doors and windows installed, and the landscaping done.

By the time the trees dropped their leaves, the slanted fall light was shining through the windows of a working barn and workshop. Now it’s hard to imagine this property without the handsome barn.
