Dog days got you down? Published on August 9, 2016

dining w peony, vertical, 52 kbWhat’s warm in winter, cool in summer? The solution to this riddle is an insulated timber frame building, which provides year-round comfort and beauty.

Most of our clients insulate their timber frame homes with SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) that modify the temperatures in both summer and winter. SIPs also keep down heating and cooling costs, which offsets your investment in the building over time. And the panels are applied outside the wooden frame without covering it on the inside, creating a beautiful, distinctive interior.

We’re already at the end of the dog days* this summer, but contact us, so that next year you can breeze through the sultry season in energy-efficient comfort.

*Officially the “dog days” are between July 3 and August 11 when the Dog Star, Sirius, rises with the sun, marking the period when the sun’s heat is the greatest.
